"Serial No. 6693292, circa late 1944-early 1945, .30 carbine, 18" round barrel marked “INLAND MFG. DIV./GENERAL MOTORS/11-44" Bore is bright with strong rifling visible. Milled front sight is unmarked, type C barrel band is marked “SI". Inland marked trigger group with push button safety and ""M"" stamped magazine catch. Rear sight is marked “PI", High wood “I" cut is in very good condition with minimal wear noted, sling slot is marked “RMC" with “P" firing proof on the grip. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Nice late war M1 carbine.
