This is a 1937-made revolver that has 80-85% of the original blue finish remaining on the barrel, ejector housing, and cylinder. Some areas of gray fading are present at the muzzle, along the raised edges, and around the cylinder flutes, with some scattered areas of plum-brown pinprick pitting as well. The frame has a mottled gray patina with muted original color case-hardening still visible, and brighter areas on the protected areas ahead of, and under the cylinder. The antique ivory grips have pleasant, caramel colored age-toning, with dark age cracks present on both sides, but no chips or other damage. The action lock-up is still tight, and it functions smoothly. This is a very nice example of a late 1st Generation Colt SAA, and is in very good plus condition overall.
