Offered for sale is an M1911 US Contract pistol shipped to the Benicia Arsenal on June 4th 1913. A decent example of a very early US Property M1911. The underlying finish appears to be original however there is definitely colt blue applied on the slide and frame. Overall not a bad looking gun for the money. The barrel is a Springfield Armory replacement. The small parts are all correct for the gun and in very nice shape. Included is a 1943 M1916 Holster and two magazines. Please note that the lanyard loop magazine is B marked on the toe and has had the loop attached to make it look like an earlier magazine.
