This is the XX Standard 1873 Pocket Revolver manufactured by J.M. Marlin from 1875-1887 with fluted cylinder. In Very Fine to near excellent condition this example retains about 45-50% of the original silver finish on the barrel and frame which has dulled and thinned to show the brass on parts of the frame and left a mottled brown on some of the barrel and cylinder. The markings on the rib and barrel are very fine and easily legible. Mechanically it functions properly with good timing locking into position when fully cocked and firing with a crisp trigger pull. The original hard rubber "M.F.A. Co" marked grips have excellent detail with the left panel fully intact and excellent and the right having a small missing piece on the bottom. All numbered parts correctly match. A very fine example of these neat little Marlin revolvers. Antique SOLD Antique: Yes |
