Description:
Selling a Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight .30-06 SPRG Bolt Action Rifle. This Model 70 features a 22" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barreled action of this handsome Featherweight retains 98% original blue with light silvering at the muzzle, a few scattered minor handling marks and the hollow bolt knob has aged to a pleasing dark gray patina. The anodizing on the floorplate has thinned to an even silvery-gray patina with light high edge wear on the triggerguard. The checkered walnut Monte Carlo pistolgrip stock rates near very good plus with a hairline crack behind the upper and lower tang while the checkered plastic buttplate remains in similar condition with light wear around the perimeter. The bolt is serial numbered to the rifle. This quick-handling rifle is equipped with the original open sights and sling swivels. Serial #509069, mfg. 1961.
