Description:
The SA-22 was the first production Semi automatic rifle, this example is one of the earliest, being made and sold by FN in Europe instead if the later models sold by Browning in the US. the overall condition of this rifle is fair, the bluing is actually still mostly intact with only light corrosion and Finnish loss, however the stocks have taken quite a beating over the years. The stocks, as stated, are somewhat rough and have taken come abuse, the butstock in particular has cracked and had a hole bust into the wrist. On the barrel, as stated there is light corrosion and finnish loss, and the rear sight has been replaced as well. The bore is in good condition for the majority of its length but has a ring of corrosion about 6 inches from the muzzle that has left some pitting. In all, this rifle will make a fine project for anyone looking to try their hand at refurbishment as the internals all look to be in functional condition.
