Description:
SERIAL NUMBER 768. BARREL 26". CALIBER 41. barrel  diameter  one  inch // Made by Alonzo Perry , Newark NJ circa 1850's -1860, most being custom ordered and built. Serial numbers match on barrel and frame. Breech loading percussion single shot rifle features full heavy octagon barrel, unique rear sporting sight, breech block stamped with Perry Patent Arm Co, Newark NJ. The breech block. frame, trigger guard and buttplate are engraved. Iron hardware with a pewter fore cap. CONDITION. Metal has a dark patina with light pitting. Butt stock is good with original  finish and  impressions. Forestock has a hairline crack and a sliver missing in front of frame. Action works properly. Bore is dark with decent rifling. Scarce sporting rifle with same style action as Perry's military carbine heavy  gun . ANTIQUE// made with automatic  percussion capper  // nipple  still  good  $67 sh //   TO  GET  CAP TUBE OUT  EASILY POINT  BARREL  UP  AND  PUSH  LATCH  ON  SIDE OF  STOCK   LEFT  TOWARDS  TOE      EVERY THING  SEEMS  TO  WORK  FINE IN  DRY  FIRE /   compare mine  only   1  with  factory   engraving  ,SEE  ANOTHER  I  HAVE  LISTED  FOR  PARTS
