This Savage Model 12 has a stamp on left side of receiver that says "Designed by Major John Plaster Manufactured for Savage Arms Inc. by Choate Machine & Tool Company". Major John Plaster was a United States Army Special Forces Officer and one of the leading sniper experts in the world. Gun has textured black Choate stock with thumbhole stock and fluted stainless barrel with recessed crown. Barrel is free floated and forend has adjustable rail. Gun has a couple light use marks in Choate stock but remains in excellent overall condition. No box. .22-250 Remington
