Unusual Argentine Provenance distinguishes this Used, Winchester Model 1892 / Model 92 Saddle Ring Carbine in the desirable 44-40/44 WCF Caliber; SN 342,4XX corresponds to ~1905 - 1906 Date of Manufacture. It has a 20-Inch Round Barrel with nice sharp rifling. All Mechanical Functions are Tight and Operational; Receiver Markings are Original, Correct and Legible; and it has a Ladder Sight. Metal Finish is pretty much Zero Percent Blue with 100 Percent Very Smooth Patina; the Straight Grain Stock and Forend are in Very Good to Excellent Condition. What makes this Winchester interesting is the Buenos Aires, Argentina Import Mark from the firm of Carlos Rasetti – a major importer of arms, ammunition and cutlery from Europe between 1857 – 1967.
