VERY FINE MARLIN MODEL '94 .38-40 ROUND BARREL RIFLE, #306XXX, MADE 1904. This attractive rifle has a bright and minty bore! The receiver shows that the case colors have faded to a mottled gray with good color in the protected areas and faint color mainly on the left side, receiver top lever and hammer. The barrel retains most of the original blue with just a little age/plum starting to mix. The mag tube retains about all the original deep blue. Exc. stock and forend with tight wood to metal fit and only some normal handling surface scuffing to the wood finish. Tight action with strong safety half-cock, original buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and original Rocky Mountain blade front sight. All sharp markings. Hard to find a 120 year old .38-40 with a bore this excellent!
