The Waffenfabrik Bern M1889 is a straight pull bolt action designed by Colonel Rudolf Schmidt and the ammunition was designed by Colonel Eduard Rubin. Variations of this rifle were used by the Swiss Military until 1958. The barrel, action and magazine have matching serial numbers. 7.5x53.5mm Swiss
