They were made by A.G. Fay, Potter & Tolman in Boston, Mass with address of "SHARPS RIFLE MANUF'G CO. / HARTFORD, CONN". The Civil War packet dates to the circa 1863 time period as that's when the company began packing military boxes with 12 caps. In excellent condition the box remains sealed with the shellacked coating fully intact having excellent, crisp graphics.
