Description:
This is a WWI French M1892 First Pattern bayonet/scabbard/frog, Modified in 1915 which include, reshaped quillion and wooden grips and used with the M1916 Berthier. This unsharpened bayonet is in over-all very good condition with a bright blade lightly specked fine edge, correct tip and has a groove in the forward portion of the spine. The guard and the pommel have light oxidation and the wood scales deep patina. The quillion is marked "458527" and the pommel "U". The excellent scabbard is marked "e90686 D". The leather frog is still pliable with some signs of use with tight stitching and nice hardware.
