I'm selling my collection. Here is a French MAS 49 Model 1949 Semi-Auto 10 round Military Rifle chambered for 7.5x54mm, comes with its complete issued set of accessories and Scope (clear glass)in its original leather case, all in near mint condition probably unfired, 3 mags all visible on the pictures. 22.8" barrel with its new bore with sharp rifling. M.A.S. stands for Manufacture d'Armes de St Etienne main government arsenal factory. Well built, reliable & accurate battle rifle with direct impingement gas operation with tilting sliding bolt was produced in 1949 to 1965 after WWII. Served successfuly in Indochina & Algerian wars and in many other conflicts all over Africa and Middle East. MAS 49 was one of my favorite amongst my collection of French rifles, the MAS 49-56 same as the 49 but with a shorter barrel on the range with its bulky & useless grenade launcher. The French 7.5 is balistically an excellent cartridge similar to the 308 Nato. What is not mentioned in the description can be seen on the pictures. I haven't shot this one. I described it to the best of my knowledge. Please don't ask for extra pictures and cartridges showed on the pictures are not for sale. Buyer is responsible for knowing all laws pertaining to this transaction. I will ship diectly to your home if you are a C&R licensee or only to your FFL dealer with the attached copy of my driver license.
