Description:
"Serial No. 2669, circa 1860’s, .22RF, 3 ¼" round barrel. Barrel’s nickel finish is worn with scattered oxidation visible. Brass plated frame is marked “Charles Dau. /Chicago/ILL" Traces of cylinder scene remain visible, MOP grips with lion head butt are in excellent condition. Action functions correctly for its age. Comes with period correct case with shell holder and screw driver. Charles Dau enlisted into the 89th Illinois Infantry on January,10th 1865 at the age of 21 for one year of service. He was 5’ 6" with blue eyes and brown hair; in early 1865 the 89th Ill. Infantry would be near the Alabama and Tennessee area until they were mustard out on June 24th,1865 in Chicago Ill.
