Description:
Joseph Lang & Sons best quality sidelock ejector in 12 gauge made in 1963. This was after the Amalgamation of various trade names under Atkin, Grant & Lang. This Lang is London proofed with many high quality features. Intercepting safety sears on a bar action sidelock. Chopper lump barrels. Well figured wood on a well executed stock. Original 2 3/4" chambers and 1 1/4 OZ Proof. Proofing at 1 1/4 OZ is fairly rare for a game gun. Usually 1 1/4 OZ proof is reserved for heavy pigeon or waterfowl guns. Gun is tight on face. Barrels ring very nicely. No cracks to the wood. Southgate ejectors. Two leather covered recoil pads, a thin one on the gun and an additional one inch pad. Manual safety. The barrels are 28" with mirror bores. The right barrel measures .729 with 11/1000 choke (IC) while the left is .731 with 34/1000 choke (Full). This is a very useful combination that covers all field shooting opportunities. Barrels are perfectly regulated for point of impact. Original case color. Nicely engraved in a traditional English style. Trigger pulls are very crisp. The LOP is 14 3/4" as presented in the photos. Drop at comb is 1 5/16". Drop at heel is 1 25/32". The weight of the gun is 6 LBS 9 3/4 OZ. Shipping is $75.
