Marlin Model 1893 rifle in caliber 32-40 Winchester marked "For Black Powder" with 26" octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, blued finish, open sights, serial number D6425.

CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube retain 70% fine aged blue with some scattered staining. Receiver retains 80% bright original blue. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, still tight and proud, most likely cleaned with an added layer of finish for protection. Bore is good with distinct rifling, no pitting, a little dark in the grooves, I'd call it a 7 of 10 and may clean better. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Action is smooth with a properly working half cock safety. Rear sight is the correct Marlin version with fish-hook elevator. Front sight is a Marbles-Sheard. Upper tang is correctly marked Model 1893 and correctly factory tapped/plugged for a tang sight. Top of the receiver is correctly marked Marlin Safety and also is correctly tapped/plugged for the Hepburn style receiver sight. Note there is no Bullseye logo in the stock, and with the Marlin serial numbers all over the place, I'd estimate date of manufacture at 1905 per the markings as the designation to Model 93 was made about 1907 and the Bullseye wasn't introduced until 1922. Nice looking rifle that will make a fun shooter/hunter as well as collector.

TERMS:  No international sales. Must ship to FFL or C&R license holder (buyers within New York State must provide an FFL only). Payment by personal check, bank check or postal money order (sorry no credit cards). 3-day non-firing inspection. If you intend to shoot it, have a competent gunsmith check it over first. Buyer pays return shipping. Packed with care and shipped USPS Mail with tracking.
