Relic Whitney, has 4 rounds visible in the chambers and I believe in the barrel there is a round as I probed in barrel and it stops just short of the chamber. I believe the gun misfired possibly wet powder? There is a cap still on one chamber that appears to have been hit by the hammer and did not fire. This hand gun has nver been cleaned up remains as found. The grips are bone and remain in good condition, (not originial but are old) They do not fit the gun properly but they display well and could be worked on to fit but I have not worked on them. The screw on the grips appears to be a replacement. The loading lever is missing. Fantastic relic that you only wish could talk. This piece will be a great piece in any relic collection. E Whitney N.
