I purchased this rifle in 1974. I shot it shortly after the purchase and found it very accurate. I cleaned it; it has been in my gun room for 50 years. The rifle is in the original issue configuration with no known alterations. The barrel is dated Flaming Bomb1-18. The walnut stock is very nice and has a great grain pattern. Retains 90-95%+ original blued finish, and all metal is in good condition, with no pitting or corrosion. Mechanically, it is perfect. The bore is good with distinct rifling. The stock is marked E for Eddystone, and the rifle has multiple eagle head inspector marks from Eddystone assembly. I would consider a full or partial trade for a Colt or S&W 1917 ACP revolver, Early Colt New Service .4 Colt, Enfield or Webley WWII revolvers, Remington 51 7.65, German-manufactured Walther PP or PPK 7.65, Colt 1903 7.65, WWII Walther P38 or other interesting historical pieces in comparable condition.
