About Us: Beard Vintage Firearms, LLC is a small company dealing in antique, vintage and modern firearms. Special focus on custom contemporary muzzleloading rifles and black powder cartridge rifles.

Description:
These are excellent examples of the Plainsman rifles as modified by legendary riflesmith Cecil G. Brooks. As you may know, Brooks built the NRA presentation rifles from 1955 to 2005. Pedersoli recruited Brooks to come to Italy and help design their Plainsman rifles. The result was a sleek, midrange priced muzzleloader. Part of the deal with Pedersoli was that Brooks could bring back an unknown quantity of these rifles and rebarrel them. These are a matched set of those. They have a 30.5" and 35.5" tapered octagon barrels in .36. Twist is 1:48". The barrels are in the white with C.G.BROOKS engraved in a box. Mounted in a typical Plainsman stocks with brass fittings, double set triggers and a LOP of 14". They have minimal handling marks. The 35.5" rifle has a crack on underside of forestock that needs attention. Should be an easy fix for anyone with basic equipment and skills. Interesting pieces of muzzleloading history. Rifles appear unfired. $1150 + Shipping for pair. More photos available, if interested.
