Description:
This is an early style engraving, 12 ga. It has been ( almost ) totally redone. As new condition. Engraving has been recut, case color redone and barrels reblued. I did nothing to the stock except add a spacer and new recoil pad to match my long neck and monkey arms.This gun was in ex-fine condition when I bought it and had all the work done as a project for myself. No interior metal work was recommended when dissasembled for cleaning and case color. I bought a case and a repro Fox tag. Ive had this gun in this condition for 30+ years. It has been to the range 1 times and the field 2 times. It has been in the case unused for 22 years and taken out only to rub down or show off.. I was an avid bird hunter and collector for 45 years but now my Boykin is past his prime and maybe so am I. I have no plans for another dog The stock was not cut or replaced and the spacer can be removed if needed. The travel case is loosing color, I suspect dust, it has not been in sunlight. Also the is a rub on the felt in the case. See photo. My collection gets a rub down on the stocks every several years and a very light coat of linseed oil and wax before the season but this gun has never needed it.If your looking for a premier example of this type this is it.
