Gun #2 of pair bearing serial #7437 built in 1988 with London proofs marks.  Scaled small bore frame with 27.0" barrels having fixed IC/IC chokes, game rib, 2.75-inch chambers, auto ejectors and automatic safety. Straight english stock crafted from highly figured walnut.  Engraving: Action is engraved with an intricate pattern of fine Scotish scroll with full coverage extending over the tangs, levers and latches. Gun number "2" and "SAFE" appear in gold, action screws and latch plungers are fired. Oval initial plate remains blank. Weight 6.0 pounds. Lengths-of-pull 14.75". Drop at comb 1 3/8" and drop at  heel 2.0" inches, cast off approximately 0.25". Condition: Bores are excellent, bore diameter nine inches from breech 0.614" as originally marked on barrel flats, minimum wall thickness via Hosford & Co. gauge: right-0.030", left-0.029". Chokes are IC/IC with constriction measuring 0.008" on both bores. Barrels are full on face and lock up tight, levers appropriately rest right, ejectors snick with appropriate force, and triggers are crisp. Blue over the barrels and guard is approximately 98-99% percent and engraving/metal is in excellent condtion with a beautiful light patina of case colors remaining. Wood is approximately 99 percent with a few minor micro scratches. Provenance: Guns were purchsed by seller from original owner in Scotland and imported by seller after having been inpsected,cleaned, and serviced by William Elderkin of Elderkin & Son's Gunmakers Ltd, in Lincolnshire.
