VERY LIMITED PRODUCITON .32 (.32 S&W LONG CALIBER) OFFICERS MODEL HEAVY BARREL TARGET REVOLVER, #656XXX, MADE AT THE VERY END OF THE GREAT DEPRESSION IN 1941. Colt only turned out a few hundred of these before ceasing production for World War II. All .32 caliber target revolvers are rare and both Colt and S&W produced very few in all models. It seems most shooters wanting a center fire target revolver chose .38 Special along with a very few .44 and .45 caliber revolvers. This example is in excellent condition overall. It retains about all the deep factory blue with only some light wear on the sides of the barrel coming back from the muzzle. Checkered back strap and trigger, tight action, perfect bore, unaltered adjustable target sights, retains about all the blue on the front face of the cylinder and ejector rod indicating that this one may not have been fired at all. Barely a cylinder line. Exc. Colt medallion walnut grips with sharp checkering and only the minor edge wear at the bottom. Exc. fire blue on the trigger and hammer back. Amazing Great Depression hand fitting and workmansip. A super rare Colt target model.
