Gun is mint. Any blueing wear showing in the photos is an oil streak.
This revolver belonged to a Smith and Wesson collector who took it to the range one time after he bought in 1993 and shot it with mid-range loads. Never placed in a holster.
Smith and Wesson Model 29 Classic DXs are not common. Could be considered rare. Manufactured for only two years, 1991-1992.
All Model 29 Classic revolvers were test fired at 50 yards from a machine rest. Exceptional revolvers that grouped five shots under 1 1/2-inches became the exclusive DX model. The individual test target showing all five shots in a group of 1.25-inches at 50 yards was included with each revolver.
Five interchangeable front sights: (red ramp, black ramp, patridge, white dot, and gold bead)
