Description:
1894 Winchester Rifle manufactured in 1913. Octagon barrel (26") and full magazine tube, 32-40 caliber. I will rate the bore a 7.5 maybe an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. Special order front sight, reversible Marbles. Original rear sight. All markings are sharp and crisp. Barrel and magazine tube retain 55 to 60% original blue with scratches, scrapes, and handling marks. Receiver retains 10-15% original blue with the remainder a gray / brown patina. Action functions nicely. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. Buttstock shows 11 notches on upper comb (see pic). This rifle will definitely benefit from a good cleaning and I think it will display as a nice collectible 1894 Winchester in the end. All in a great caliber / configuration at a fair price. This firearm as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire / operate it.
