Description:
Remington Model 81, FBI rifle in .30 Cal. Rem, SN: 18158, date code RK: Nov. 1941. Rifle is 100% serial number matched throughout! Mechanical function and fireing functions flawlessy with NO issues. Bore is factory excellent, looks like new! Front and rear sights are FBI contracted as is the barrel jacket having NO holes for the typical rear sight! Also, the FBI insisted on a lock washer for the takedown bolt and the bolt was specifically milled to accept the washer, all present. This is the best FBI rifle I have ever had or seen from my personal collection. I only colleceted the best. You will note that I elected to remove the original stock set as I thught the color was too dark. I installed a new set of CBR stocks so that sling could be adapted. The eyelets, original Remington fish hook swivels and Whelen sling have all been installed as would have been back in the day. I will also include the original stocks so that new owner has the option of reinstalling if so wished. I have test fired this rifle and the sights are dead on, a tack driver if I may sy so. See past photo as I have included 50 NOS R-P 30 Rem. Cal brasss, three original 25-30-32 steel 5 round stripper clips and so marked and lastly a Model 81 original manual! You won't get a deal like this again!
