Here's a very nice example of the exceedingly scarce Pre War, Pre "A" Winchester Model 52 Sporter. The Winchester 52 is regarded by many as the finest .22 rifle ever created, and the Pre A Sporter version arguably the finest of them all! S/N 35xxx Mfg. 1936. Excellent original condition with no drill holes or other alterations of any kind, showing about 96% finishes with some light handling marks. I have only seen a handful of this specific model surface through years of searching. They are much rarer than the B, or even C sporters. 24" barrel with an excellent, minty bore. Very rare version Lyman 48 peep and a globe type front, currently with ghost ring insert. The original factory 5 shot magazine and the correctly "concave" shouldered pre war swivels are also included.
