Description:
ON HOLD Very scarce Harpers Ferry musket in original flint dated 1801 in nice condition, Mechanically excellent with HF proofs on barrel. The tang was broken past the bottom part not able seen unless the barrel is seen from bottom. This should be redone so the breech will fit the stock at rear. Just a thin pad is between the barrel and stock. Tang should be shortned by 1/16". or fine left as is. This has the early feature of the longer tang without the half moon cut in middle of breech plug. Lockplate screw is a little further back than the middle of the breechplug. Here is a tough early dated musket.
