32320-CIVIL WAR SPENCER MODEL 1860 CAVALRY CARBINE SERIAL NUMBER IN 2ND NEW YORK CAVALRY RANGE. All original and matching Spencer with no post-Civil War alterations. Original 22” barrel and chambered for the original .52 cal. rimfire Spencer cartridge. Has all the correct Ordnance inspection stamps and two Ordnance Inspectors cartouches on the left side of the stock behind the ring bar. Very good to fine with original dark metal patina and the original wood finish with moderate wear. Perfect working order and excellent bore. Serial numbered in the 39xxx range in close proximity to various 2nd New York Cavalry carbines documented in the Springfield Research Service records in Volume 2, page 148. $3400.
