32339-SCARCE REMINGTON NO. 1 ½ ROLLING BLOCK .25 RF CAL. OCTAGON SPORTING RIFLE CIRCA LATE 1870’S. 26” barrel with original nickel blade front and elevator rear sights. 100% original in every respect. Barrel stamped “22” on bottom flat in front of forend but obviously altered a long time ago. Remington patent dates on frame and barrel stamped “E.REMINGTON & SONS ILION, N.Y.”. Nice original condition overall with 50-60% original blue mixed with patina on barrel and frame with greyish case hardening mixed with dark patina on frame. Walnut stock and forend with the original finish in very good condition. Perfect working order and excellent bore with crisp rifling. Hard to find. $1100.
