Description:
NSN, approximately .80 Caliber, 6 7/8" flared barrel with a very good, lightly freckled bore. This is a very well-made pistol, devoid of proof or maker’s marks, that has an attractive brass cannon-type barrel with an overall mellow ochre patina. The iron lock, trigger guard, and stock furniture have a mild pewter gray patina with some spots of dark pitting on and around the pan and frizzen. The pin-fastened walnut stock has some scattered handling marks and minor surface blemishes throughout the otherwise fine oil finish, and features a checkered band running the length of the backstrap. The iron cap on the end of the flared butt is slightly loose, and has some very minor pinprick pitting. The original iron ramrod is still present, and the lock is fully functional. This is a very handsome pistol, in very good-fine condition, and would make a great addition to a collection.
