Serial Number:  305704

Vintage Firearms Inc is pleased to offer this Inland manufactured 1943 dated M1 Carbine, serial number 305704.  The Inland Division of General Motors, Dayton, Ohio factory produced 2,252,388 Carbines with 886,969 manufactured in 1943. This example has a barrel dated 3-43 and has a mirror bore. The barrel and receiver show 97% factory original parkerization. The trigger group is supplied by Underwood and the operating rod is Rock-Ola manufactured. The M2 Pot Belly walnut stock is in excellent overall condition with good color and straight grain. This M1 Carbine is accessorized with a canvas sling, oiler, one 15rnd (keeler Brass/ Inland), two 30 round magazines with a ‘Jungle Clip’, and a post war Bren Den bayonet with scabbard. The M1 Carbine is a gun that epitomizes the American ethos, see a problem, design a solution, and get production going and get the product to the people who need it the most. As Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated- “Victory depends in large measure on the increased war production we are able to get from our factories and arsenals…This is total war. We are all under fire…soldiers and civilians alike-no one is a spectator. To win we must fight, and to fight we must produce.”  With millions of Carbines made and delivered, the M1 Carbine is one of the most collectable guns in the marketplace and prices continue to climb making these guns a solid investment. A great piece of history and now available for your collection, onward to Victory!
