Description: Serial #92236, .22 RF Short Black Powder, 3 3/16" round ribbed barrel with a very fine, mostly bright bore with strong rifling and a few scattered pits. This is the Smith & Wesson Model #1, 3rd issue revolver manufactured between 1868-1881. In Antique excellent condition the barrel, frame and cylinder retain about 87-92% of the original bright nickel finish with most of the loss on the cylinder and scattered spots on the frame. The original rosewood birdshead grips rate about excellent and are correctly numbered to the gun. The barrel lock up is tight without play and the cylinder times properly with a crisp trigger. An excellent example of these neat little antique S&W revolvers so often found in poor condition. Antique SOLD Antique: Yes |
