This is a very nice classic JM Marlin 39A. Bluing is nearly 100% intact and has the nice patina you would expect on a 68-year-old rifle. The black walnut stock has a very attractive figure with only a few shallow handling marks. It functions flawlessly, and the bore is clean with microgroove rifling. It is tapped for a four screw side mounted scope as well as being tapped for a receiver sight. Standard buckhorn rear sight and gold bead front sight. The barrel is 24", weighs 6.5 pounds, and the tubular magazine holds 19 .22 R cartridges. The 39A is an exceptionally accurate rifle and this one is no exception.
