Description:
PARKER-HALE 1861 ENFIELD .577 CALIBER (.58 CAL.) CARBINE, #3XXX. These are truly beautifully made rifles and carbines that are just like the originals. The barrel is marked "PARKER-HALE LTD. BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND" with British proofs at the breech end and a circle "PARKER-HALE" stamped cartouche in the stock as well as the lock plate marked "1861 ENFIELD." The European walnut stock is excellent, brass butt plate , forend cap and trigger guard, military ladder rear sight, polished blue barrel and barrel bands, case colored hammer and lock, bayonet lug on the right side of the 24" barrel (measured from the muzzle to the rear of the bolster where the upper tang begins. Complete with cleaning rod, tight action, exc. bore. Just a little corrosion that was cleaned off around the nipple area. These beautiful carbines are great shooters and are hard to find.
