An early canvassback drake attributed to Joseph Keefer. Hollow body cnstruction and it retains the original working paint. Keefer and his son Jacob were market hunters on the Illinois river in the years following the civel war. Both were carvers in the Illinois river style. Circa 1880s. A piece of sporting history.
