Payment Types Accepted: USPS Money Order, Certified Cashiers (Bank) Check Description: Incredibly scarce, boxed 2" Colt Official Police chambered in .38 Special. The serial number (848890) dates manufacture to 1956. With the exception of the Colt Aircrewman, this is one of the rarest of the Post-War, snub nosed, double action revolvers ever produced by Colt. Due to the fact that so few are known to exist it's difficult to determine exact numbers, but total production is estimated to be in the 200 to 500 range. This example appears almost new, with original factory deep blue finish. The cylinder face, recoil shield, and forcing cone are exceptionally clean with only a very faint trace of a turn line on the cylinder itself. The action is crisp with tight lock up, with a clean bore. The factory checkered, round butt walnut grips are excellent. The genuine Colt box is in good condition with no tape repair, but is serial numbered to another 2" Official Police (859949). Original paperwork includes the "Shooting Suggestions" pamphlet and "Colt Warranty Card". A Colt Archive letter is also included, confirming the original 2" configuration. Free Shipping... These snubbies are from my own personal collection and represent the finest examples I could locate over the past 25 years.
