Spencer Model 1860 Civil War Saddle Ring Carbine 52 cal RF ,56-56. Bore VG with strong rifling 6 groove , Mech Exc works well has complete original magazine tube. Wood is original with some wear marks and fits well to metal. Has an original 22” Round Barrel with original sights. The receiver has the spencer address and patent dates marked on top ,also has the serial# 29810 which is in the middle of production for the civil war. Issued to 64 CO D 6th Ill Volunteer Cavalry Many going to this unit.# 29790, #29811 and 29813 plus of 100’s of other documented carbines. Has original sling swivel at the stock. Metal overall has a dark brown patina finish with some fine pitting on the saddle ring bar and the buttplate. civil war usage.
