Description:
US Springfield 1814 Original Flintlock Musket. 69 Cal smoothbore, Mech Exc, Wood is VG it does have a crack at the rear barrel band area. Has a original 42” Rd barrel with 3 bands, sling swivels, button ramrod and bayonet lug. Has a P and M stamped in the breech area. The lockplate is excellent with eagle , US marking and dated 1814 to the rear of the plate. Has a iron buttplate Mech Exc with strong mainspring all parts original. Metal overall has an aged grey patina with some fine pitting. Very rare to find them in such fine condition.
