Harpers Ferry Model 1841 US Percussion Musket AKA Mississippi Rifle, 54 cal rifled Bore VG , Mech Exc , Wood is near exc showing no abuse,very clean no cracks and little wear. The lockplate is VG with Harpers Ferry 1850 marked to the rear of the plate and in the middle is US and a sharp eagle marking. Has a large brass patch box on the right side of the stock and also has a brass US marked buttplate , triggerguard , barrel bands and side plate.Has an original ramrod with brass tip. Very fine Mississippi rifle. Metal overall has an aged brown patina finish with some fine to light pitting in the nipple area.
