Description:
The Marlin® 1895 Lever-Action Rifle, chambered in 45-70 Gov't, delivers sufficient firepower to knock down any land mammal in North America. It is a fast handling hunting rifle for large game in heavily forested habitats. The 1895 has a blued steel barrel and receiver, and walnut buttstock and fore end. Ballard style rifling stabilizes all types of bullets, cast or jacketed. The half-length magazine tube holds 4 rounds without changing the rifle's balance significantly. The Marlin 1895 Lever-Action Rifle features side ejection. Sling swivel studs allow for the attachment of a rifle sling for convenient hands-free carry in the field. A receiver-mounted crossbolt safety that effectively blocks the hammer from hitting the firing pin. Made in USA 2012. .45-70 Government
