Springfield Armory Model 1873/79 Trapdoor Carbine. Cal, 45-70 Mfd 1880 with SWP 1883 cartouche. Marked Co, "A" 237. 22" round Bbl with blade front sight. Pattern 1879 "C" marked carbine rear sight. Thick wrist stock with steel butt plate with trap for 3 piece cleaning rod and broken shell extractor (included). Condition, Very fine with fine bright bore, Metal has toned to mellow patina with crisp markings. Mechanically excellent. Fine original Indian Wars carbine
