Unique piece here, not for what it is but its conditrion and storage. 1940 Dated French MAS Model 1936 in 7.5 x 54mm still in original cosmoline wrappings. I have cut open the area at the receiver so it can be seen. Serial dates to 1940. Also, the bolt number matches the receiever number. Other than a coating of cosmoline on every thing this one will be in pristine condition, like new never fired. There is no rust in a cosmoline stored gun. Seldom seen like this. A true time capsule. These rifles were very well made and had been used all the way until Vietnam era. Very stout and relyable. This will enhance any collection as it has done for mine. But, now time to move along. Please ask any questions. Rifle comes as shown with hard case (if wanted and all that it origianlly came with. Cleaning kit, sling and manual and box of ammo. Last two pictures are file pictures simply to show what it looks like out of the wrap. They are not the actual rifle. $1175.00 OBO I have been told there should be an import stamp on the receiver. I have looked all over it and do not see one. If it has one it is some wheres alse
