Description:
This example is a Winchester Model 94AE chambered for .30-30 Winchester with a 20" barrel. The left side of the barrel is marked "WINCHESTER MODEL 94AE CAL. 30-30 WIN. / -MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-", the top at the rear has an ovalled "WP" proof. The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number to the left of the lever plate "6190472". The front of the lever plate is marked "SIMPSON LTD G'BURG ILL". The front sight is a hooded blade dovetailed to a smooth ramp at the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a "U"-notch elevator sight with a white triangle that is dovetailed to the rear of the barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped and filled for an optic mount. The stocks are two-piece smooth wood with banded forend, straight grip, straight comb and a checkered black Winchester buttplate. Excellent condition with no box. .30-30 Winchester
