Here is Smith and Wesson Frontier in 44 Russian. It is one of 786 frontiers that started life as a 44-40, and then was converted to 44 Russian. These converted guns were shipped to Japan in 1895 and 1896. The numbers match on this gun including the frame, cylinder, latch, barrel, and grip. I don't se any other markings on the gun. The action and bore is excellent. I rate the exterior in Fine condition which is at least 70% finish remaining. These Frontiers are definitely under valued in my opinion.
