Description:
JP Sauer&Sohn, Suhl, double barrel shotgun ( Germany) 1916. Model 17E , ejector 12 gauge 30 in. barrel length. Automatic cocking model with rotary cocking indicators. The barrels were manufactured using Krupp Three Ring steel.
It is decorated with rich ornamental engraving, as well animalistic engraving - hunting dogs and birds. English style stock from Europian walnut wood. The action functions correctly. The safety sets automaticly.
All numbers match. The gun is solid and shoots great. Based on the number, this hunting gun was made by Sauer & Son (Suhl, Germany) during the First World War.
