Stout & Powerful Pocket Carry for the 19th Century
Here is an antique Remington-Smoot New Model No. 4 Revolver. This pistol was made from 1877-1888 in total numbers of 23,000. The No. 4 was a well-made pistol, stout and powerful, and was a prime competitor to similar Colts of the time.
This was the type of pistol you would have liked to have in your pocket in the late 19th century, whether you were in the big eastern cities or in a frontier boomtown. These were well made guns that were with you when you needed them most.
Overall condition is fine. Original nickel finish. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid.
