This rifle features a strong, simple, compact falling-block breech mechanism with artillery-style breechblock and under-lever is ideally suited for today's powerful cartridges. It has a sliding tang safety that provides instant security, visibility, and accessibility. a robust, sturdy, sculptured receiver forms a rigid support for barrel, stock and sliding breech block. The ejector mechanism provides maximum leverage at the point where the ejector engages the cartridge case. A Leupold 3-9 Vari X scope is mounted. Cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity. The .222 Remington is a centerfire rifle cartridge introduced in 1950. The .222 Remington was a popular target cartridge and still enjoys a reputation for accuracy. It remains a popular "varmint" cartridge at short and medium ranges.
