Description:
Pair of donut scroll engraved 6" Pockets S/Ns 46076/49761 ( 1852 mfr) in deluxe Brassbound Rosewood case. Both revolver frames have muted case colors as is typical of Colts of this era. Backstraps and trigger guards retain 95%+ of original silver plating. Barrels both retain 90% glossy blue while cylinder colors retain strong traces of blue. Cylinder scene on both pieces are near perfect. Grips are sound, fit well with some light nicks but retain most of varnish. Case is in fine condition with typical minor handling and storage marks. Retains all of original varnish with solid partitions. Flask, mold and other accessories are all fine to excellent.
Provenance for this set is impeccable as noted in a James Julia Catalog and in Wilson's BooK of Colt Engraving Vol II
