Description:
"SN: 72268 (original serial 3369c). Bolt-action military rifle made by Mauser Werke in 1939. Standard 60cm (~24"") barrel chambered for 8mm Mauser. Fair overall condition with about 40% of original blue, mostly on the lockplate and floorplate. Bore is dark with good rifling. Mitchell's Mauser import mark on left of barrel. Receiver, bolt, bolt sleeve, barrel, lockplate and floorplate match. Replacement buttstock has been serialized in typical Mitchell fashion. Barrel bands and rear sight non-matching. Buttplate has been cleaned and stamp is illegible.
